Erfolgswirkung einer Partizipation an Virtuellen Unternehmungen

Abstract

Collaboration in Virtual Corporations (VC) increases in importance, especially for small and medium enterprises (SME) that operate in a dynamically changing business environment. Even so, only few empirical efforts have been carried out to analyze the complex issues related to this topic. The goal of this article is to fill that gap in business research by exploring the effects of a participation in VC on the strategic success factors of collaborating partners. For that reason, a structural equation model (SEM) is developed and the methodology of the Partial Least Squares (PLS)-Analysis is applied for the model-measurement with empirical data. The results of this analysis provide important implications for research on VC. Practitioners can use these findings to evaluate existing VC and to better target their future participation in such partnerships Copyright Physica-Verlag 2005
