Abstract

The young home ownership rate is lower in Italy than in other European countries. The levels of temporary employment associated with higher chances of job changes, unemployment and volatile income have significant effects on youth home ownership, reducing also the probability of acceding to a mortgage. It is therefore necessary to identify alternative ways to adapt costs, amount and forms of house financing to the new scenario
