Fachkräftelücke und Großinvestitionen: Der Osten braucht mehr Zuwanderung

Abstract

Im Wettbewerb um Fachkräfte wirbt die deutsche Wirtschaft um qualifizierte Arbeitskräfte aus dem Ausland. Beim Stand von Zuzug und Integration besteht ein Ost-West-Gefälle. In den ostdeutschen Bundesländern liegt der Anteil der ausländischen Einwohner mit unbefristetem Aufenthaltstitel an allen ausländischen Einwohnern bei durchschnittlich 37 Prozent und ist damit eineinhalbmal niedriger als in den westdeutschen Ländern. Zudem lässt sich eine Binnenmigration von Ost nach West bei Ausländern feststellen. Dies ist für Unternehmen ein Nachteil bei der Anwerbung neuer ausländischer Fachkräfte.
