Abstract

Überraschend konsequent hat der französische Präsidentschaftswahlkampf eines der wichtigsten ökonomischen Themen ausgeklammert: Die immer weiter auseinanderklaffende Schere zwischen den Regionen. Trotz der positiven wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung, während der Macron-Regentschaft sind die regionalen Ungleichheiten eines der großen Themen mit politischer Sprengkraft. Sowohl die Gelbwestenproteste als auch die Schwierigkeiten, im ländlichen Raum eine adäquate Daseinsvorsorge zu organisieren, sind hierfür tragende Beispiele.
