Zum Einfluss des Niedrigwassers auf die Körperschaftsteuereinnahmen

Abstract

Das Körperschaftsteueraufkommen ist das erste Mal seit dem Jahr 2015 in einem aufkommensstarken Monat deutlich unter den Vorjahreswert gesunken (-9 Prozent). Maßgeblich hierfür war vor allem ein Minus bei den Vorauszahlungen, die die Unternehmen für das jeweils laufende Jahr leisten. Die Vorauszahlungen der Körperschaften werden typischerweise recht zeitnah an den sich abzeichnenden Unternehmenserfolg im Einvernehmen zwischen Unternehmen und Finanzbehörde angepasst. Dass die Körperschaftsteuervorauszahlungen zeitnah dem Konjunkturverlauf folgen, zeigt der Vergleich mit der Geschäftslageeinschätzung laut ifo-Umfrage. Die jeweiligen Vorjahresvergleiche zeigen bei den Quartalsdaten einen hohen Gleichlauf auf. In der zweiten Jahreshälfte 2018 wiesen beide Indikatoren auf eine Abschwächung hin.
