Krankenhäuser als Akteure regionaler Gesundheitswirtschaft: Zwischen Modernisierungsdruck und Gestaltungschancen

Abstract

Krankenhäuser sind zentrale Säulen regionaler Gesundheitswirtschaft. Sie stehen heute vor komplexen Herausforderungen. Neben der betriebswirtschaftlichen Optimierung sind sie auf der Suche nach neuen Lösungen für die regionale Gesundheitsversorgung. Die Einrichtungen präsentieren sich in der regionalen Gesundheitswirtschaft als Gesundheitsversorger, Wirtschaftsfaktor und Wertschöpfungspartner. In der Praxis verschränken sich diese Dimensionen. Sowohl die raumwirtschaftlichen Auswirkungen der Restrukturierungsprozesse als auch deren Effekte auf die Leistungsfähigkeit der Häuser müssen stärker in das Zentrum von Forschung und Gestaltung gerückt werden.
