Beschäftigungstrends in der Gesundheitswirtschaft im regionalen Vergleich

Abstract

Die Gesundheitswirtschaft ist ein wichtiger Beschäftigungsträger der letzten Jahre. Dabei ist jedoch eine starke Zunahme der Teilzeit- und geringfügigen Beschäftigung zu beobachten. Die Beschäftigungsanteile in der Gesundheitswirtschaft sind dort am höchsten, wo solitäre Städte mit Universitätskliniken auf Vorleistungs- und Zulieferbereiche treffen. Solitäre Universitätsklinikstandorte bilden nicht nur Gesundheitszentren für das regionale Umland und auch überregionale Excellenzen, sondern scheinen auch als Standort für den Vorleistungs- und Zulieferbereich interessant zu sein. In dieser Konstellation ist neben Marburg und Münster besonders Heidelberg sehr stark. Baden-Württemberg nimmt - bezogen auf die Beschäftigung in der Medizintechnik - eine Ausnahmestellung ein.
