Abstract

In einer immer komplexeren Welt mit beschleunigten Innovationszyklen und sich ständig verändernden Anforderungen sind Unternehmen mehr denn je einem starken Wettbewerbsdruck ausgesetzt. Für sie besteht einerseits die Notwendigkeit, ihr bestehendes Kerngeschäft durch kontinuierliche Effizienz- und Produktivitätssteigerungen zu optimieren, andererseits müssen sie gleichzeitig disruptive Innovationen zur Anpassung an neue Markbedingungen einleiten. Das Working Paper diskutiert am Beispiel der Automobilindustrie, wie die Verbindung von Optimierung und Disruption die Wettbewerbs- und Zukunftsfähigkeit der Unternehmen sichern kann und welche Auswirkungen auf Beschäftigung und zukünftige Arbeitswelten dabei zu erwarten sind.
