Abstract

After studying the theoretical and conceptual framework of economic growth and international trade, the author measures the effectiveness of trade liberalization boosted by NAFTA in order to promote commerce and economic growth in Mexico. Likewise, the author assesses the impact of trade in economic growth at the northern Mexican states in the period 1994-2001.
