La estimación del modelo de "función distancia": Medición de la eficiencia y cálculo de elasticidades

Abstract

Se plantea la utilidad del cálculo de las derivadas de la función distancia de cara a obtener la interpretación de las productividades marginales apartir de una especificación Cobb-Douglas y Translog. El cociente de las productividades marginales sirve para estudiar la relación marginal de sustitución técnica entre inputs. Como en la estimación se introducen múltiples outputs, es posible calcular la sensibilidad de cualquier producto respecto a otro de los introducidos en la función, manteniendo constante el nivel de inputs, lo que se conoce como la relación marginal de transformación entre outputs.
