El papel de las tarifas de interconexión en las industrias en red
[The role of interconnection charges in network industries]

Abstract

El análisis de las industrias en red ha tomado una fuerza inusitada durante la última década. La línea de investigación emprende su consolidación y muchos resultados empiezan a tomar ya, el apelativo de “clásicos”. En este documento se presenta una somera descripción acerca de las industrias que operan en red y sus particularidades, centrándose en una de las más importantes: la interconexión entre operadores. Se comenta la intuición económica detrás de este concepto y las dificultades competitivas y técnicas para determinar su precio. Se abordan también algunos de los principales mecanismos que la literatura reciente ha propuesto para regular su tarifación.
