Mesure de l'influence des facteurs socioéconomiques sur l'obésité : regards croisés des modèles logistiques et quantiles

Abstract

Le surpoids et l’obésité sont devenus des véritables problèmes de santé publique dans la plupart des pays développés compte tenu de leur ampleur et de leurs conséquences sociales et économiques. Ce texte présente de manière synthétique les résultats de l’analyse croisée de l’application de modèles logistique et quantile à la mesure de l’influence des facteurs socioéconomiques sur l’obésité. Les données proviennent des enquêtes PSELL3/EU-SILC de 2005 et de 2007. Il en ressort principalement que l’influence du niveau d’études est plus avérée pour les deux types de modèles que le revenu.
