Abstract

Desde principios de la década los años noventa, en diversos documentos oficiales, en postura de investigadores, de organizaciones de empleadores, de trabajadores y de otros sectores, se ha argumentado sobre los beneficios de disponer de un sistema de Educación y Formación Técnico Profesional articulado, coherente, inclusivo, equitativo y de calidad en República Dominicana, que responda a los desafíos actuales y futuros en materia de preparación y capacitación permanente de la fuerza de trabajo que se requiere para impulsar el desarrollo económico y social del país. Uno de los objetivos de la Estrategia Nacional de Desarrollo 2010-2030, establece la necesidad de consolidar el SNEyFTP a los fines de acompañar al aparato productivo en su proceso de escalamiento de valor, facilitar la inserción en el mercado de trabajo y desarrollar capacidades emprendedoras.
