Propuesta para la estimación del salario de reserva de los empleados en Colombia con el análisis de fronteras estocásticas

Abstract

El carácter no observable del salario de reserva ha limitado el estudio de los mercados laborales, la comprobación empírica de muchos de sus modelos y el establecimiento adecuado de beneficios a los desempleados en muchos países desarrollados y algunos en vías de desarrollo. En el presente documento se muestra una posible metodología para estimar el salario de reserva de los empleados en Colombia, utilizando el análisis de fronteras estocásticas siguiendo a los estudios previos en este tema. Los resultados muestran que un empleado típico posee un salario de reserva que corresponde al 77% de su ingreso laboral observado. Los hallazgos se contrastan corroborando las predicciones de algunos de los modelos de participación laboral desarrollados en Colombia.
