L’approche intersectionnelle : généalogies, contestations et perspectives pour le champ du développement international

Abstract

À partir d’un état de la littérature, ce papier de recherche revient sur les généalogies contestées du concept d’intersectionnalité, en particulier, dans le champ du développement international, et propose quelques principes pour l’application d’un cadre intersectionnel réflexif, ainsi que des pistes de recherche. Revenant sur les nombreuses critiques dont il a fait l’objet, ce papier met en lumière son potentiel heuristique et transformatif. Moins marginal que par le passé, sans pour autant être au centre des pratiques des sciences sociales, sous-théorisé et peu appliqué dans les études sur le développement, son potentiel de radicalité interroge utilement la construction sociale des cadres d’analyse, d’intervention et d’évaluation des acteurs du développement, dévoile l’impensé de la race/du racisme et invite à replacer les différents phénomènes associés au sous-développement dans des rapports de pouvoir largement produits par l’héritage colonial.
