Abstract

The process of elaborating food security plans for 3 townships (cercles) (which will test the methods for later elaboration to other townships), covering a period of five years, will consist of technical and material preparation, collecting and analysis of documents, research on the ground, submission of a provisional report to local authorities and PASIDMA, organization of validation workshops, writing of a final report, and adoption of the respective five-year plans by each Township Council. The five years plan will take into account the existing local development plans. The process will be participatory through the implication of district development partners, consultations, dialogues, inquiries, and solicitation of experts; and will include gender equity.
