Abstract

Los cambios más importantes en la vida de los pobres de América Latina en el siglo veinte han sido, probablemente, aquellos ligados a la educación y la migración rural-urbana. En ambos ámbitos, los pobres han puesto sus expectativas, asignando recursos, jugando un papel protagónico y logrado importantes resultados. El presente estudio que constituyo simultáneamente un proceso de formación de profesores en el campo de la investigación consiste en la evaluación y acompañamiento de experiencias de desarrollo humano en el proceso de traslado familiar del mundo rural al urbano. Entendemos por ese desarrollo un proceso preciso, y a la vez multidimensional, que está sirviendo de referencia a la mayor parte de las discusiones contemporáneas sobre el tema, tanto en el mundo académico como en el de los organismos multilaterales y en el de las experiencias de base.
