Abstract

The continuing discussion about the future of the social market economy is producing new headlines daily with detailed suggestions for the restructuring of our economic and socio-political system. A fundamental conceptional analysis of this subject has however not been done up to the present. The Walter Eucken Institute decided to counter this by organizing the 1st Freiburg Symposium on Constitutional Economics, which took place in September 2003. This volume documents the seminar papers which were held during this symposium. (sewn paper, published in German)
