Abstract

Este libro amplía y actualiza el volumen anterior 'El stock y los servicios del capital en España y su distribución territorial (1964-2003): nueva metodología' y aplica las recomendaciones metodológicas de la OCDE a la investigación de la economía regional en España. Presenta estimaciones de 'stocks' de capital (bruto, neto y productivo) localizadas en las comunidades autónomas y sus provincias, y también en el conjunto de España, completando la serie hasta 2005. Se parte de una desagregación de la inversión por dieciocho tipos de activos, manteniendo el máximo detalle de las infraestructuras públicas y de tres activos que configuran las nuevas tecnologías de la información y de la comunicación. De este modo, se podrán estudiar con mayor precisión el proceso de acumulación de capital, sus efectos sobre el crecimiento y los determinantes de la productividad. La actualización y mejora de la base documental, que se presenta en un CD adjunto, permitirá analizar de manera detallada problemas sustantivos para la economía española actual como el ritmo de inversión y acumulación; la estructura de la inversión por tipos de activos y el 'stock' en cada territorio; o los ritmos de acumulación de cada activo en los diferentes territorios y el crecimiento de los servicios del capital en ellos.
