Abstract

Esse livro resgata o debate contemporâneo da relação entre desenvolvimento econômico e território. A presente publicação reúne autores de renome nacional e internacional nos diversos aspectos que compõem a problemática territorial do desenvolvimento. A obra é dividida em quatro partes: a primeira trata de interpretações teóricas recentes sobre a problemática do território: a segunda analisa a dinâmica global-local e seus desdobramentos; a terceira aborda as questões contemporâneas da urbanização e da metropolização; e a quarta parte apresenta modelos empíricos de fronteira em economia espacial.
