Abstract

Water is crucial to survival as well as economic progress. It is utilized for agricultural and non-agricultural purposes. Supply and usage must therefore be managed properly to ensure sustainability. The key is to use and conserve available water supply efficiently. For many years, water resources in Asia have been exposed to natural catastrophes and pollution. At the same time, industrialization, urbanization, and population explosion put considerable pressure on freshwater sources in the region. Many Asian countries have experienced growth but water conservation has always been a major problem for these nations.
