Abstract

Relevance of the topic. The need to establish the level of sustainability of Russian regions according to the indicators of social, economic and environmental development. Goal. To assess the level of sustainability of old-industrial regions according to the basic parameters of socio-ecological-economic development. Methodology. Monographic method; cluster and comparative analysis. Results and conclusions. Old-industrial regions form a rather homogeneous group in the sphere of sustainability of socio-ecological-economic development, forming a medium-level cluster. In general, the group is characterised by a low level of integrated sustainability. The low level of sustainability for most indicators requires adjustments in strategic planning documents at the federal and regional levels with a stronger emphasis on increasing the level of income and a system of environmental protection measures.
