Abstract

The authors select a group of 10 Eastern European transition economies and make a comparison for a list of indicators in order to reveal the characteristics of the household consumption. To make the comparison more systematic several methods are used, namely, the ranking method, the absolute gap method and the relative gap method. By aggregating the three methods the authors also obtain a final ranking.
