Abstract

[fre] L'évolution de l'intégration interne et internationale des provinces chinoises. . Dans cet article, nous appliquons la méthode des « effets frontière » pour étudier l'évolution de la Chine à la fois en matière d'ouverture économique internationale et d'intégration du marché interne, deux des principaux objectifs des réformes économiques lancées en 1978. Nos résultats soulignent que l'engagement croissant des provinces dans le commerce international s'est accompagné d'une réduction de l'intensité des flux d'échanges à l'intérieur de la Chine, confirmant la perti­nence des inquiétudes sur le mouvement de fragmentation interne du marché chinois depuis la mise en œuvre des réformes. [eng] Is chinese market disintegrating? The evolution of domestic and international integration of chinese provinces. . In this paper, we apply the "border effects" method to study the evolution of China both in terms of international trade openness and domestic market integration, two of the main objectives of the reforms package. Our results underline that Chinese provinces' greater involvement in international trade went together with a decrease in domestic trade flows intensity.
