Abstract

[eng] The paper shows the tight similarities between two classical pieces of literature even if some differences are left due to the respective fields. The first concerns the option value defined in 1974 when comparing a reversible and an irreversible action in the case where further information is expected by the agent. The second concerns the framework introduced far earlier by Simon (1951) when comparing an employment contract and a sales contract with a collective criterion.
