Abstract

[fre] L'Irlande est un pays agricole, dont les ressources ont été longtemps insuffisantes pour nourrir une population croissante, d'où l'existence d'un fort mouvement d'émigration. . Mais sous l'impulsion du Gouvernement irlandais, l'économie de ce pays commence à se transformer. Non seulement on s'efforce de rationaliser la production agricole et d'augmenter les livraisons de certains produits de l'élevage, mais on assiste également depuis la fin de la guerre à un progrès très sensible de la production industrielle. . L'expérience irlandaise est donc particulièrement intéressante parce qu'elle est celle d'un pays qui après avoir conquis son indépendance politique s'efforce d'assurer son indépendance économique et d'améliorer le niveau de vie de sa population. Toutefois en raison même de la configuration géographique et du caractère complémentaire des économies, l'Irlande conservera des liens commerciaux très étroits avec la Grande-Bretagne.
