La experiencia regulatoria en Perú II: los casos de la electricidad y el agua potable

Abstract

En este trabajo se analizan dos experiencias de regulación en el campo de los servicios públicos. La primera de ellas es la de la electricidad, en donde una parte importante de las empresas del sector han sido privatizadas y el servicio ha experimentado una notable mejoría. La segunda es la del agua potable y desagüe, en donde el gobierno se ha mostrado reticente de privatizar y las empresas se han mantenido dentro de la esfera estatal, creándose serios problemas para un manejo eficiente y una mejoría en la calidad del servicio.
