Managing Activity And Development Efficiency Of Agro-Industrial Groups

The relevance of the research into the issues of the agro-industrial groups' performance management is determined by the fact that the agricultural sector has become a leading one in the Ukrainian economy in terms of the output. A systematic analysis of the complex factors that shape the ways and means of managing the performance and development of agro-industrial groups has been made. The methods of synthesis and system analysis have been used. The results and costs have been proved to be rigid conditions for high performance, but evaluation of these indicators alone does not allow highlighting the performance management factors. The performance management mechanism, as stressed by the authors, includes economic, social, institutional and financial elements interconnected by the reproductive cycle. The commitment of the performance management systems requires the selection of management criteria and efficient means of achieving the goal. The subject of management, with the help of the factors that it is able to change, has to neutralize the current negative impact and provide conditions for the progressive development of the object of management. The progressive development implies changes in the object of management which coincide with the most general laws of development of economy and society as a whole. Integration development related to mergers and acquisitions, gained considerable momentum at the enterprises involved in the production and processing of agricultural products. The integration processes in the agricultural sector have been proved to have the features that are defined by the characteristics of the processes of production and circulation. A generalized scheme of coordination of economic interests of subjects of integration has been offered in which the general economic interest is achieved by the distribution of the rights and obligations of participants in joint activities and the establishment, on this basis, of a hierarchical organizational structure of management.
