El desempleo estructural y la tasa natural de desempleo: algunas consideraciones teoricas y su estado actual en Colombia

Abstract

En la actualidad, el concepto teórico de tasa natural de desempleo ha trascendido las cátedras universitarias para convertirse en una herramienta útil para analistas y responsables de la política económica. En este artículo, la tasa natural de desempleo es el eje central de análisis y en él se plantean, en la primera parte, algunas consideraciones teóricas asociadas al desempleo estructural y al tasa natural de desempleo y sus determinantes. La segunda parte del artículo se refiere a las estimaciones de la tasa natural en Colombia, los cambios estructurales en años recientes ya los cálculos del autor de la tasa natural para el período 1984-1997.
