Az Európai Unió bankrendszerének piaci koncentrációja
[Market concentration among the banks in the European Union]

Abstract

A bankpiaci koncentráció a versenyre és a teljes pénzügyi rendszerre gyakorolt hatása miatt önmagában is kockázatokat jelent, ennek mérése és az eredmények feldolgozása a folyamatok pontosabb megértését teszi lehetővé. Cikkünkben az Európai Unió tagországaiban működő bankok piaci koncentrációját számszerűsítjük, a bankok és bankfiókok számának, valamint a mérlegfőösszeg, a saját tőke, a nettó díj- és kamatbevétel adatainak változását elemezve. Megközelítésünkben egy adott tagország a sokaság egy egyede, vizsgálatunk tárgya pedig a tagországokhoz kapcsolódó mennyiségiismérv-értékek koncentrációja. Ezt szem előtt tartva Lorenz-görbe segítségével ábrázoljuk, Gini-index, Herfindahl-Hirchman-index és CR3 mutató segítségével pedig számszerűsítjük az Európai Unió bankpiacának koncentrációját. Megmutatjuk, hogy a mért adatok legalább közepes szintű banki koncentrációra utalnak. Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) kód: G15, G21.
