Abstract

El método es de análisis descriptivo y cuantitativo utilizando datos de panel./ This study shows that foreign direct investment (fdi) in Mexico flows to regions with high purchasing power, with larger market and are close to large markets, such as the Valley of Mexico and the United States. There is evidence that fdi is associated with higher economic growth but the magnitude of the relationship is small and the results are quite robust. Additionally, the study shows that fdi flows tend to increase the unequal economic relationship between the states but, better income distribution within them. The method is descriptive and quantitative analysis using panel data.
