Genişleyen Avrupa Birliği’nin Enerji Politikaları Kapsamında Türkiye’nin Yeri Ve Önemi

Abstract

Avrupa Birliği’nin petrol ve doğal gaz üretiminin sınırlı olması nedeniyle, genişleyen Birliğin artan petrol ve doğal gaz talebi daha çok ithalât yoluyla karşılanacaktır. Türkiye’nin coğrafi konumu, Hazar Bölgesi ve Körfez ülkelerinden Birliğe petrol ve doğal gaz taşımacılığı açısından bir çok olanak sunmaktadır. Avrupa Birliği’ni Orta Doğu’ya bağlayan Türkiye, aynı zamanda Akdeniz’de de önemli bir güç merkezidir. Bu nedenlerle AB açısından Türkiye ayrı bir önem taşımaktadır. Üyelik müzakerelerine başlama aşamasında olan Türkiye açısından önemli olan, enerji alanındaki konumunu AB’ye üyelik sürecini destekleyici bir şekilde kullanmaktır
