Abstract

Yenilenemeyen bir enerji kaynağı olan petrol uygarlığımızın en önemli can damarlarından biridir ve bir gün tükenecektir. Her geçen gün biraz daha yaklaştığımız petrol üretim zirvesinin geçildigi andan itibaren arz talebi karşılayamayacak ve ucuz petrol devri kapanacaktir. Petrol ekonomisine bağımlılık ve artan petrol fi yatları yeni ekonomik, diplomatik, jeopolitik, ve askeri dengelere sahne verecektir. Petrolün geleceğinin tehlikede olduğu ihtimalinin göz ardı edilmesi gerek ülke ekonomileri gerekse dünya ekonomisi ve hatta insanoğlu için çok ciddi sonuçlara yol açabilecektir. Bu çerçeve altında makalede petrolün ve petrol ekonomisinin geleceği geniş bir yelpazede incelenmekte ve alternatif görüşlerin bir kritiği yapilarak ceşitli politik çıkarsamalarda bulunulmaktadır.
