Abstract

This study attempts to understand the geographic, demographic and economic characteristics of the Rest of Maharashtra (ROM) region and suggests strategies based on the socio-economic and geographic profile that will promote its development. It argues that this region is characterized by heterogeneity. The proposed strategies for growth take note of this heterogeneity and the disparity caused thereby.
