Abstract

Artículo sobre la supuesta debilidad marítima china, que no es tal, a lo largo de toda su historia. Se realiza aquí un repaso a la historia naval del Imperio del Centro analizando las causas que llevaron la llevaron a convertirse durante parte de la dinastía Ming en la, más que probablemente, primera potencia marítima del mundo durante cierto tiempo, y se buscan, así mismo, respuestas al por qué de su posterior repliegue, precisamente cuando los estados europeos apuestan decididamente por hacerse con el control de los océanos.
