Asia Y La Crisis Alimentaria: ¿Qué Ha Provocado El Encarecimiento Del Arroz?

Abstract

Asia es uno de los continentes más relacionados con la crisis alimentaria global, tanto desde el lado de la demanda como el de la oferta. Menos cultivos, mayores costes, los biocombustibles, especulación... El aumento de los precios de los alimentos es el resultado, en primer lugar, de que cada día se necesita más comida que, a su vez, es más escasa. Sobre todo falta grano. El precio del arroz y del trigo se ha más que duplicado en el último año. La población mundial crece una media de 75 millones de personas al año. 2.200 millones subsisten con menos de un dólar al día y ya dedican un 90 por ciento de su dinero a su nutrición básica.
