La contabilidad ambiental y el desarrollo sostenible en México: un estudio comparativo desde los Planes Nacionales

Abstract

La contabilidad ambiental representa un sistema de información cuyos resultados facilitan el control de las acciones que afectan la condición de la naturaleza y el desarrollo nacional. Uno de sus principales desafíos es propiciar la sostenibilidad, concebida como medio de desarrollo en el cual se identifican las acciones que impactan el ambiente. En este contexto el propósito del presente estudio es analizar de manera comparativa los Planes Nacionales de Desarrollo de México considerando dos periodos sexenales (2013-2018 y 2019-2024) con la finalidad de identificar si los programas contenidos en ellos- encaminados hacia la sostenibilidad- implican la presencia de las cuentas nacionales cuyos resultados permite medir el impacto ambiental del quehacer económico que deriva del agotamiento de recursos naturales y degradación del medio ambiente.
