Abstract

Neste artigo analisaremos um livro didático produzido pelos indígenas Huni Kuῖ (Acre, Brasil), empregando os textos e materiais elaborados pelos professores para analisar os conceitos de educação indígena e educação escolar indígena. A escola tem como função a promoção e o fortalecimento da sua cultura, difundindo novas concepções e aprendizados da relação da comunidade com seu território. A educação tornou-se uma conquista política para os povos indígenas e um campo privilegiado para a preservação e construção identitária.
