Entrevista A Miguel Zugaza: Director Del Museo Del Prado, Una Instituciã“N Al Servicio Del Arte Con Mayãšsculas Y Abierta A La Sociedad De Nuestro Tiempo

Abstract

Miguel Zugaza Miranda (Durango, Vizcaya, 1964) historiador del arte y museógrafo está vinculado a importantes museos españoles desde 1994, año en el que ejerció el cargo de subdirector de conservación en el Museo Reina Sofía de Madrid, para regresar a su tierra natal en 1996 y ocuparse de un gran proyecto, la modernización y ampliación del Museo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao. Tras siete años dedicado a esta gestión y también al comisariado de relevantes exposiciones llegó a la dirección del Museo del Prado de Madrid en 2002, un puesto en el que ha permanecido hasta hoy. Zugaza se acerca a una fecha histórica en su carrera y en la del museo que dirige, en 2019 se celebrará el bicentenario del Prado, una oportunidad para conmemorar y dejar su sello personal en la celebración, así como una ocasión para estrechar los lazos de esta excelente institución con la sociedad.
