Abstract

In order to improve regional carbon emission efficiency, this paper selects China's provincial data (2003–2022), and based on the panel threshold model and mediation model, The nonlinear effect and threshold effect of green technology innovation (GTI for short) on carbon emission efficiency are tested, and tests the mediating effect of intellectual capital. The results show that GTI has a nonlinear promoting effect on carbon emission efficiency, and intellectual capital and its components have a partial mediating effect on the relationship between GTI and carbon emission efficiency.
