Gestión del conocimiento: caso de una entidad del sector público colombiano

Abstract

Este artículo presenta los resultados de la incorporación de una iniciativa de gestión del conocimiento en una organización del sector público colombiano, así como sus beneficios, habilitadores y dificultades experimentadas en la misma. El estudio se desarrolló bajo una metodología cualitativa de alcance descriptivo. Se empleó el método de estudio de caso, para el cual se revisaron documentos relevantes y se desarrollaron entrevistas semiestructuras a un conjunto de empleados de la organización. Los resultados evidencian que la Entidad desarrolló un modelo de gestión del conocimiento y herramientas para operar el mismo, permitiéndole avanzar en la construcción de una cultura organizacional enfocada en el conocimiento. De otro lado, habilitadores como el liderazgo y la tecnología deben ser trabajados con mayor énfasis. Lo anterior evidencia que la gestión del conocimiento ha venido ganando un espacio relevante, a la vez que presenta la importancia de algunos habilitadores para la incorporación de la misma. La investigación aporta a las prácticas de gestión del conocimiento que vienen siendo trabajadas en el sector público como un pilar para la innovación.
