Incidencia y características de la violencia intrafamiliar en Cartagena de Indias. 2008 - 2012

Abstract

El presente documento responde a las necesidades de evaluación y seguimiento periódico de los principales indicadores de la violencia en la ciudad de Cartagena, para con ello formular estrategias y políticas públicas que propicien el mejoramiento de las condiciones de convivencia ciudadana. Se utiliza un enfoque cuantitativo, que utiliza herramientas propias de la estadística descriptiva, para caracterizar y perfilar cada una de las variables que son alusivas a los hechos. Los principales resultados datan de una distribución mayoritaria de casos en los barrios de las comunas 5 y 6 correspondientes a los barrios de la zona suroccidental y periférica de la ciudad, y con una alta incidencia de casos en los que la víctima resulta ser del sexo femenino.
