La ciudad de Cartagena de Indias (Colombia) desde la perspectiva de una Matriz de Contabilidad Social (MCS)

Abstract

Este trabajo explora las transacciones económicas que se realizan en la ciudad de Cartagena de Indias para el ano 2010. El campo de interés se encuentra centrado en la construcción de un sistema contable internamente consistente con particular énfasis en las inversiones públicas a nivel local y su interacción con el sector productivo y los hogares, y deja de lado las transacciones intersectoriales para la producción de bienes y servicios. Con base a la información estadística oficial disponible a nivel nacional, departamental y local, los autores construyen la matriz de contabilidad social para Cartagena y concluyen que es posible desarrollar sistemas contables para ciudades intermedias, cuya finalidad es servir de insumo para investigaciones relacionadas a analiza la estructura económica de la ciudad.
