Abstract

“Hace más de 30 anos se inició la práctica de las encuestas de opinión empresarial. Las primeras se llevaron a cabo en Alemania, siendo pionero en esta actividad el Instituto IFO, pero rápidamente se hicieron comunes en Francia y en Italia. Hoy en día este tipo de encuesta se lleva a cabo en 42 países. ¿Por qué han tenido tanto éxito las encuestas de opinión empresarial en todo el mundo? Básicamente por haberse convertido en un instrumento para palpar el conocimiento de los empresarios sobre las condiciones de sus companías y, partiendo de ello, entender el comportamiento de la economía en su conjunto y elaborar pronósticos de corto plazo. Esta capacidad de proyectar es lo que explica la extensión rápida de las encuestas de un país a otro.”
