Productividad, acumulación y deseconomías públicas en el crecimiento económico colombiano

Abstract

La tendencia del crecimiento económico colombiano pasó de la aceleración (anos 1930 a 1960) a la desaceleración (anos 1970 a 1990). Esta reversión de la dinámica económica colombiana se relaciona con la disminución tendencial de las ganancias en productividad. Para obtener este resultado se postula que el sector público actúa como un lastre del crecimiento económico (cuando debiera ser un motor). El impacto de las deseconomías públicas en la eficiencia de la acumulación se analiza con el modelo de descomposición del crecimiento de Hall (1988). La disminución de la senda de crecimiento de la productividad es consecuencia del viraje del modelo de desarrollo industrialista hacia el aperturista.
