Trayectoria del proyecto de Human Powered Vehicle desarrollado por alumnos de Ingeniería Mecánica del Instituto Tecnológico de Celaya

Abstract

La American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), promueve desde su fundación el desarrollo de habilidades en todas las disciplinas de la Ingeniería desde el ámbito estudiantil universitario; uno de los eventos con los cuales desarrolla esta labor es el Human Powered Vehicle Challenge (HPVC); el cual consiste en el desarrollo de un vehículo de propulsión humana desde su concepción, diseño, fabricación, pruebas de operación y funcionalidad por parte de alumnos de universidades de prestigio a nivel mundial. Un grupo de estudiantes de Ingeniería Mecánica del Instituto Tecnológico de Celaya (ITC) ha desarrollado durante los últimos tres años un prototipo de Human Powered Vehicle innovador, eficiente y económico, con el cual han tenido participación en diversos HPVC’s, logrando así la presencia de su institución de adscripción en eventos de talla internacional, así como también experiencias extracurriculares sumamente enriquecedoras en su formación profesional. The American Society of Mechanical Engineers since its foundation promotes the development of skills in all disciplines of mechanical engineering for the university student level; one of the events which develops this skills is the Human Powered Vehicle Challenge; which involves the development of a human-powered vehicle from conception, design, manufacture, operation and functionality tests by students from prestigious universities worldwide. A group of students from mechanical engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Celaya has developed over the past three years a prototype of human powered vehicle innovative, efficient and economical, which have been involved in various HPVC’s, thus leading to the presence of their institution of affiliation in international events, as well as extremely enriching extracurricular experiences in their professional training.
