Abstract

1998 befragte das ifo-Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung über 1000 Industrieunternehmen des verarbeitenden Gewerbes zu den Entwicklungstendenzen der strategischen Unternehmensplanung und Unternehmensführung in Deutschland. Der vorliegende Beitrag stützt sich massgeblich auf das Buch "Strategische Unternehmensplanung - Strategische Unternehmensführung" (herausgegeben von Dietger Hahn und Bernard Taylor) und auf vorangegangene Umfrageergebnisse, die 1965 und 1989 ermittelt wurden. Ein Vergleich der im Zeitraum von nahezu 30 Jahren gesammelten statistischen Wirtschaftsdaten lässt folgende Prognose zu: In den 60iger Jahren und vereinzelt auch noch in den 80iger Jahren erfolgte eine strategische Unternehmensplanung über die Erstellung von kurzfristig angelegten Einzelplänen. In jüngster Zeit gehen die befragten Unternehmen dazu über, Projektplanungen auf mindestens vier Jahre auszulegen.
