Evaluation of radiological burden on the population of Zhytomyr region

Abstract

This paper deals with priority of comprehensive evaluation of nitrate and radioactive contamination of environmental objects and its impact on population health. The research covers 24 administrative territorial units of Zhytomyr region. The author has determined that a lot of uncertainties that make errors or make misleading research results, influencing the evaluation of the radioactive load. The main issue lies in the vast diversity of contamination areas within the settlement or natural biogeocoenose that person uses as a source of foodstuffs
