Kiều hối và cán cân thương mại: Nghiên cứu thực nghiệm tại các nước châu Á Thái Bình Dương

Abstract

Nghiên cứu sử dụng dữ liệu trong giai đoạn 2000 - 2013 tại 32 quốc gia thuộc khu vực châu Á Thái Bình Dương để kiểm tra tác động của kiều hối lên cán cân thương mại. Thông qua mô hình ước lượng cho dữ liệu bảng bằng phương pháp GMM, nghiên cứu phát hiện tác động tiêu cực của kiều hối lên cán cân thương mại, đặc biệt trong giai đoạn kinh tế phát triển ổn định. Tuy nhiên, trong giai đoạn khủng hoảng kiều hối lại có tác động tích cực lên cán cân thương mại của các quốc gia trong khu vực.
