Los diez primeros años de la Junta Europea de Riesgo Sistémico (2011-2021)

Abstract

La Junta Europea de Riesgo Sistémico (JERS) fue creada tras la crisis financiera global (CFG) como organismo encargado de la vigilancia macroprudencial de riesgos para la estabilidad del conjunto del sistema financiero de la Unión Europea (UE). En su primera década de existencia, la actividad de la JERS ha estado marcada por los desafíos derivados de la operacionalización de los instrumentos macroprudenciales introducidos en la normativa bancaria comunitaria, la crisis de la deuda soberana en el área del euro, la salida del Reino Unido de la UE y la irrupción de la pandemia global de COVID-19. En este tiempo, la JERS —de la cual el Banco de España es una institución miembro— ha desplegado una intensa agenda de trabajo, en cumplimiento de su misión y objetivos, contribuyendo a la identificación y el análisis de riesgos y vulnerabilidades sistémicas, así como al asesoramiento y la coordinación de actuaciones nacionales de política macroprudencial, e informando sobre diversas reformas de la normativa financiera de la UE.
